Background : Surf Life Saving New Zealand Inc. (SLSNZ) is the charity representing 74 Surf Life Saving Clubs in New Zealand.

With around 17,000 people as members of SLSNZ, the 74 clubs are grouped for consultation and programme delivery purposes into local regions.
Only partially funded by Government and supportive sponsors, SLSNZ still have to find 7 Million dollars a year for operational costs.
